Motherhood Communi-Tea

Motherhood is one of the great blessings of life, but one thing I’ve learned, while moving all over the country with my husband in the military, is that no one can do the job alone. We all need a community of friends (and family if we are lucky) to help us through the busy, unpredictable days of raising a family. In a world that is increasingly mobile, mothers often find themselves moving to new neighborhoods, towns, or states far from their family homes and struggling with how to make new friends and rebuild a support system – a community that can help when there are just too many things going on at once for one Mom to handle by herself.

This is where I can help. I learned many years ago that most people need help building a network, and my solution has always been to make new friends, one cup of tea at a time. Through workshops, tea parties, presentations and retreats, I’ve taught strategies to overcome the loneliness of moving somewhere new and not knowing anyone.

God did not mean us to struggle through our lives alone. With His help, and a friendly cup of tea, you too can build a network of friends to help each other through this wonderful responsibility we’re given when God trusts us to be a mother. I’d be happy to speak to your group, club, organization or church with messages of hope for all Mothers as they undertake their precious task of Motherhood.
